Trauma Services

  Our Lady of the Lake is the only hospital in the area with trauma surgeons available 24/7 to provide lifesaving care for those in need.

Our specialized trauma teams include surgeons, emergency and other specialty doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers. The trauma teams at OLOL treat more than 900 patients each year for critical needs.

OLOL recently added a new, expanded helipad to better serve trauma patients across Baton Rouge and the state. The new helipad is part of our current construction efforts to expand the trauma center and emergency departments for both adults and children, and to earn designation as a Level I trauma center. The new trauma center will provide access to the highest level of care.
