Support Services

We believe everyone should be aware of stroke symptoms and when to seek help. That's why the neurological teams at Our Lady of the Lake participate in a number of community outreach efforts.

The Lake partners with other healthcare professionals to offer free screenings and services to the community, and hosts an annual symposium for nursing and allied healthcare professionals. This symposium includes a panel discussion where teams can discuss the many stages of treatment, from developing diagnoses and after effects to helping patients manage issues.

If you would like to measure and better your risk for stroke and your heart health, check out the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association's "My Heart, My Life" program, which details risk factors for heart problems and stroke.
