Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center was named Hospital of the Year for the fifth time by the Louisiana State Nurses Association and Louisiana Nurses Foundation in the large hospital category. This award recognizes quality service in the nursing and healthcare industry. Our Lady of the Lake was named Hospital of the Year in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014.
The award was presented at the annual Louisiana State Nurses Association Awards Gala, along with several Nightingale awards to individual nurses. Tracie Major, RN, Academic Research Director at Our Lady of the Lake received the prestigious title of Nurse Researcher of the Year. Coletta Barrett, RN, Vice President of Mission at Our Lady of the Lake, was honored as the Nurse Volunteer of the Year.
