Infection Control

To prevent the spread of infection, patients who have communicable illnesses are placed in an appropriate healthcare environment when admitted to the hospital.

Our Infection Control team identifies and reduces the risks of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients and healthcare workers, and coordinates employee education on infection prevention strategies, such as proper hand washing techniques. This team also works closely with the Office of Public Health concerning community-wide issues.
