Our Lady of the Lake Health

Our Lady of the Lake Health provides care for a full range of illness or injury, including those that are extremely complex, for both pediatric and adult patients. We are a nonprofit, Catholic healthcare ministry based in Baton Rouge with more than 7,500 employees and more than 2,900 active physicians, including more than 600 employed physicians.

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center

As the largest private medical center in the state, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center offers the area’s only Level I Trauma Center and a Stroke Center of Excellence. Established in 1923, we are a regional medical center providing comprehensive care with more than 900 licensed beds. A primary teaching site for graduate medical education programs, we are recognized in the areas of heart and vascular, trauma and emergency care, stroke, cancer care, minimally invasive procedures, and more.

Our Lady of the Lake Ascension

Our 78-bed community hospital in Gonzales has proudly served the people of Ascension Parish for nearly four decades and has received straight A’s on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade from 2016-2021. Our commitment to the people of Ascension extends beyond our full-service hospital and our 11 affiliated clinics throughout the parish.

Our Lady of the Lake Livingston

Louisiana’s first freestanding emergency room is open to the public 24 hours a day and staffed by emergency physicians and nurses for the treatment of urgent and emergent medical conditions. In addition to emergency services, the campus also includes a lab and other outpatient services; imaging services such as CT, ultrasound, digital X-ray, mammography, Dexa bone density and MRI; a retail, onsite pharmacy; and physician offices.

Assumption Community Hospital

Our 15-bed hospital in Napoleonville is an affiliate of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Because of the affiliation, Assumption Community Hospital and Assumption Primary Care have access to the nation’s highest regarded patient record. Since May 2001, it has served the community as a Critical Access Hospital and been recognized as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for Best Practice in Patient Satisfaction in the United States.

Our Lady of the Lake North Emergency Room

Our ER is an 8,800-square foot addition built adjacent to the existing LSU Health Baton Rouge North Clinic, which is home to an urgent care center, infusion clinic, and services for primary care and oncology. Providing an innovative model of care that combines services most needed in the community under one roof, the ER and urgent care center treat nearly 57,000 patients each year.
