CRCS reconstructive surgeries

Reconstructive surgery can restore impaired function, correct disfigurement and improve physical appearance. Treatments can be performed on abnormalities of the body resulting from birth defects, trauma or disease, as well as injury, infection and tumors. Learn more about the Center and its services.

Reconstructive surgeries include:

Scar Revision | Minimizes the appearance and effects of scars, including keloids, clusters of scar tissue that grow beyond the edges of a wound or incision. Keloids do not pose a medical threat, but may be unsightly in an exposed area.

Wound Care | Repairs wounds caused by lacerations. There are a variety of treatments depending on the type of damage, size and severity, and whether skin is missing, muscles have been impaired or skeletal support has been compromised. Doctors may use skin grafts, tissue expansion and/or flap surgery and microsurgery.

Breast Reconstruction | Performed after a mastectomycan also be used, the procedure can be done with the patient's own tissue from her abdomen, which results in a tummy tuck at the same time. Implants can also be used.

Breast Reduction | Removes excess breast tissue and skin, resulting in breasts that are better proportioned to a woman's body size. It may relieve back and neck pain, and address deformities of the back and shoulders.

Birthmark or Hemangioma Removal | Removes discolored areas of the skin when they are large or unsightly and have not disappeared on their own.

Cosmetic procedures are designed to enhance your natural beauty, helping to minimize the effects of aging, refine facial features and reshape body contours. Most of these procedures are performed under local or general anesthesia in an outpatient setting.

Cosmetic surgeries include:

Facelift | Smoothes loose skin on the face and neck by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles and re-draping the skin. It helps reverse the effects of sun and aging by elevating sagging tissue and eliminating wrinkles.

Eyelid Surgery | Removes fatty deposits and loose and sagging skin that may form around the upper or lower eyelids.

Forehead Lift/Brow Lift | Corrects the sagging or low position of the eyebrows by minimizing creases across the forehead and erasing worried, sad or angry expressions. We use the latest endoscopic techniques, which avoid or minimize noticeable scarring, speed recovery and reduce bleeding, bruising and swelling.

Laser Skin Resurfacing | Often performed in conjunction with a facelift, this procedure treats fine lines under and around the eyes, on the cheeks and around the mouth and lips.

Nose Reshaping | Changes the shape and size of the bridge and tip of the nose. It also removes bumps or alters the angle between the nose and upper lip, and in many cases helps with issues that cause breathing problems, such as a deviated septum.

Chin Augmentation | Refines a receding chin through the use of a silastic implant or by cutting and advancing the chin bone.

Cheek Augmentation | Often performed at the same time as a brow lift or facelift, this procedure creates distinguished cheekbones by placing a silastic implant over them.

Facial Contouring and Wrinkle-Reducing Techniques | Temporarily relax and soften forehead wrinkles, crow's feet and frown lines through the use of fat, Botox or collagen injections.

Ear Surgery | Aligns the positioning of the ears if they are pronounced or protrude.

Split Earlobe Repair | Repairs split earlobes resulting from pierced earrings. Repiercing is included in the cost and is usually done two months after the repair.

Breast Augmentation | Enhances the size and shape of a woman's breasts, many of which have decreased in size due to childbirth or weight loss.

Breast Lift | Improves the contour of the breast by removing excess and sagging skin due to age, weight loss and pregnancy.

Abdominoplasty | Often performed after multiple pregnancies or weight loss, this procedure tightens abdominal muscles and removes loose skin and fat.

Liposuction | Permanently removes fat cells from areas including the neck, face, arms, chest, back, hips, thighs, buttocks, knees, calves and ankles.

Body Contouring | Removes excess skin and fat after weight loss from dieting or surgery.
