From the time he was a baby, Sean Mooneyham had frequent bouts of stomach problems that worsened with time.
At age 3, Sean was diagnosed with Crohn's disease while his family was living out of state. Medication for Crohn's didn't seem to help Sean's symptoms, puzzling his parents and doctors. When a job transfer sent the family to Jennings, Louisiana, the doctor seeing 5-year-old Sean referred he and his parents to OLOL Physician Group's Brannan Alberty, a pediatric specialist at OLOL Children's Hospital. With those decisions, some high-level detective work was set into motion that changed the family's life forever.
