Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has been selected by the
National Research Corporation (NRC) as the Consumer Choice Award winner for the
hospital with the highest overall quality and image in the Baton Rouge
metropolitan area for the eighth consecutive year.
Consumer
Choice award winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality
and image ratings collected in NRC Healthcare Market Guide study. The 2006-2007
NRC Healthcare Market Guide study surveyed over 200,000 households by phone
representing 450,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of
Columbia. The 2006-2007 Healthcare Market Guide is the nation’s largest and most
comprehensive study of its kind.
“Our Lady of the Lake is one of an elite number of hospitals who have earned
this repeated accomplishment. It is an honor that the Baton Rouge community
recognizes our efforts and regards Our Lady of the Lake as a top healthcare
provider in the area. We are committed to continue to meet this standard and
move beyond it, taking our care and service to ever higher levels in the
future,” said Robert Davidge, CEO, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
Our Lady of the Lake is the largest private medical center in Louisiana, with
721 licensed beds and a 12-parish service area. In a given year Our Lady of the
Lake treats approximately 33,000 patients in the hospital and serves over
276,000 persons through outpatient locations with the assistance of almost 1,000
physicians and 4,000 team members.
