Adult Services
Our Lady of the Lake offers a complete range of services for adults with emotional problems and chemical dependency issues:
If you or a loved one is experiencing any of these issues, please call the COPE department at (225) 765-8900 or (800) 864-9003 to learn more about our services.
Once the initial assessment is done and the diagnosis has been made, patients will be recommended for inpatient hospitalization, partial (day patient) hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, outpatient treatment or to the Tau Program for Addiction Treatment.
Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Program
Our Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Program, staffed by psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, pastoral counselors and other licensed professionals, offers crisis stabilization in a safe, secure environment.
We're equipped to treat patients suffering from a "dual diagnosis," which means that the individual is suffering from both emotional and chemical dependency issues at the same time. Examples of dual diagnoses include depression with alcoholism or anxiety, coupled with drug abuse.
Partial Hospitalization Program (Day Patient Program)
The Partial Hospitalization Program, or Day Patient Program, provides mental health services to adults and their families – allowing individuals the convenience of residing at home while receiving structured treatment Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm.
This program is ideal for those who need more intense treatment than is available through traditional outpatient counseling, but less intense treatment than psychiatric hospitalization. The primary goal of this program is to help increase independent functionality and healthy socialization.
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program for adults is a treatment program that allows individuals the flexibility to return to work, school or home while still active in treatment. Offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 until 11 am, this program provides more structure and intensity than traditional outpatient counseling.
