Our Lady of the Lake's Division of Mental and Behavioral
Health offers a wide range of mental health and chemical dependency services to
meet the needs of families, children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Our staff
of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals form a care team to treat
the whole patient, both mentally and spiritually. Outpatient, day treatment and
inpatient program options are available. These programs are specialized to
address issues such as depression, grief, ADHD, stress, panic, anxiety, and
aging. Our Lady of the Lake's Mental and Behavioral Health Division is also one
of the few programs in the region that provides both inpatient and outpatient
Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
The Mental and Behavioral Health Division also includes the Tau Center for
Chemical Dependency. Opened in 1983, the Tau Center has earned a reputation in
the Baton Rouge community for restoring lives and renewing families through the
12-step philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Mental and Behavioral Health specific offerings include:
- Community lectures and workshops
- Weekend Awareness Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Program
